  • Definition of calculation geometry from CT-scans
  • Meshing
  • CFD-simulations of various stages (breathe-in, breathe-out, both, therefore steady, unsteady) with FSM research code SPARC
  • Aims: investigation of general flow behaviour, geometrical effects, flow transport to the olfactoric region, turbulent and laminar regions
  • Long term: virtual surgery room with the help of virtual reality
  • Co-operation with University clinic Halle, Germany (Dr. Haberland)
